Caden was, of course, super excited about Christmas and all the presents. He was passing out presents like a mad man. Halle got her very first dolly, which is a milestone in a little girls life. She wasn't feeling so hot that day so she doesn't look very enthusiastic.
We debated whether we were going to make the trip down to Nephi because the weather was so bad, but my mom said it would be the first time in like 35 years that we all didn't go to Nephi on Christmas so we didn't want to break tradition. Grandma Eyre's house was packed with relatives, which was great! Now that all the cousins are older with their own families we rarely all get together so it was great to have most of the family there. The family fun continued throughout the rest of the weekend. On Saturday we all got together to watch the Jazz game and have fondue. The chocolate helped to comfort us after the sad loss to Houston. The Jazz put up a good fight though. The fondue party was also, for Mal, a celebration for David Archuleta's birthday. His birthday was actually the next day, but we decided to get the party started early!
It seems like everyone and their dog either got a Wii, Rock Band or both for Christmas. Liz and Lucas were among the lucky ones to get both so on Sunday night we all went up to Syracuse to play. I tried out my new Skookie and we all got our video game on. I'm a little rusty on the instruments, but I rocked it out on the vocals for Bon Jovi, Wanted Dead or Alive and Caden totally jammed on the drums.
They also got a Wii Fit, which is hilarious. We all got a kick out of the hula-hoop game. Here's Liz showing us her skills.
So, in conclusion, Christmas at the Eyre house rocked this year! Bring on 2009!
